Sometimes reported that dirt collects on the surface and cannot be removed or sticky spots that cannot be removed. Usually results from adhesive on the surface of the flooring which was not noticed and removed by the installer. The adhesive itself may be impossible to notice, but it readily picks up dirt with traffic. Some adhesives can be removed using a clean, white cloth which has been dampened with mineral spirits. Do not flood the surface of the flooring. Keep changing the cleaning portion of the rag to prevent spreading of the adhesive. Urethane adhesives should be cleaned off the surface of the flooring before they cure. Cured urethane adhesives can be extremely difficult to remove. Refer to the manufacturer of the adhesive for removal procedures for urethane adhesives.
